Working with Originals

Large Original Artworks

Large art works should be scanned or photographed at a professional facility using calibrated equipment to ensure the accuracy of colours. Please contact us to find the best service near where you live.

Digital files

Digital files should be delivered to us on either CD or DVD. The images should be in RGB colour space or in the case of Black and White they should be Greyscale.

Files should be a minimum of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) and sized at the physical dimensions required for the final print. Smaller resolutions can produce good results depending on the final size of the print. Contact us for more information.

NOTE: Photographs should not be sharpened for final output. Sharpening is entirely dependent on paper, resolution and print methods and should only be done at the proofing stage.

Transparencies and Negatives

Wornell Editions can scan original transparencies (dias) and negatives of all sizes. For prices on various file sizes please contact us.
