Venice Beach and the sun is always shining

There are something like 340 days of sunshine on the coast of Southern California. I stayed with a friend in Santa Monica, leaving each morning at 5:30 am and combed the streets and beaches with my camera until the mid-day sun drove me into a café for breakfast.
