Before the flood

In February and March of 2010 I travelled with a group of friends to Pakistan to attend a friend's wedding. The ceremonies took place over 10 days and in that time we travelled the length and breadth of the country just months before the Monsoon rains devastated the lives of millions.

These photographs show the every day life of people in all walks of life from Karachi to Murree, Lahore and Multan. These are not the pictures that you are familiar with from the news. These are pictures of ordinary Pakistani's going about their daily life in a culture richly visual and profoundly colourful.
