Last week I was in Amsterdam - a few years since I was there and what a beautiful city it is. A work related trip to the digital print trade fair FESPA where I had meetings with collaborative partners and made a new discovery.
For the Treasure of Nepal exhibition at Lahden Taidemuseo in Finland I needed a very large work and Mimaki were showcasing their new 3.2 meter textile printer the UJV55-320 - the perfect device to print the largest work in my show. After speaking with Mark Sollman about the technical side we agreed to make a test print.
And so here we are - test print looking great on polyester. The print was made during the show - and in the coming weeks will be sent to Lahti. Looking forward to seeing this - the first of my large works for Treasure of Nepal - a wood carving by the extraordinary craftsman - Ratnamani Bramhacharya.
