BRIEF

Client brief was to create a visually inspiring site that celebrates the craft traditions, processes and objects we make by hand.

A site map was created and edited by the client with three main navigation elements from which the visitor explores the content.

Colour pallet, fonts and content is signed off at each stage of the project with training conducted during the populating process so that the client was able to make changes during the learning process.

By the time the site is launched the client was able to take over the updates without further input from Gary Wornell Studios.

Typically a period of 3-6 months support is offered as part of the contract to ensure the client becomes familiar with the process and can handle further changes without additional support.

The Small World

The Small World is a not-for-profit charitable organisation supporting locally driven sustainable community development projects. Aaryatara Preschool

Aarya Tara Pre School: Empowering Children from Disadvantaged Backgrounds

At Aarya Tara Pre School, we pride ourselves on being a part of the Aarya Tara Association, a compassionate organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for children from single parents and disadvantaged families in Nepal. We firmly believe that every child deserves a strong educational foundation, regardless of their background or circumstances.

BRIEF

Aaryatara Preschool required a website to highlight the work they were doing with disadvantaged children in Nepal. The school is based in the largely Tibetan community on the north eastern side of the city.

The client is a Swiss foundation that supports various initiatives in both Nepal and India.

The site required comprehensive information about how the school is run by Buddhist nuns and wished to highlight the school curriculum and activities with several image galleries dedicated to specific seasonal and cultural programs.

The home page was designed to scroll through all of the navigation elements in a fully responsive design for ease of access, and included navigation elements in the header.

Mette Maya - Ceramic Artist

Working with clay is a necessity for me. From an early age clay has been a material that informs and reaffirms my identity. I have never felt like I belong anywhere and so the making process has become both a search for, and an escape from, my environment. I think that this is why my work has developed in two distinct directions; the result of conflicts and questions that resolve themselves in forms that embody a sense of balance and unity.

Weaving for Empowerment

The client is part of a larger organisation - The Small World - based in Nepal and these products represent one small segment of a very comprehensive series of projects that provide educational and work opportunities for remote communities.
